Saturday -- sticky-icky-ooohhh -- nights always seems to lead to trouble! Started the night out at my friend Fever's condo (hey, it says Fever on his bank card / credit cards -- and Kylie named her last album over him, so...)
A couple of us left a bit early, and bounced from bar to bar. It was a dead and cold night! The bars were buzzing, but with nothing spectacular. One of my friends was wasted, the other had to be up early in the morning and I had plans for later in the night, so we decided to call the night short.
Somehow -- yes -- we wound up in the lounge at my condo. Now the lounge is normally locked around 11pm, but thanks to my resourcefulness we found a way in. Before you knew it, it was the three of us crowding around a grand piano playing a series of mis-matched notes.
Just then the security guard -- George, so said his name tag -- bust in all screaming (see picture). He was an older asian man, very well groomed and had a very stern face.
"What are you doing here?" he screamed in a thick accent.
"Just playing the piano son!"
"Do you know what TIME it is?" he said while putting his hands on hips.
I found it hilarious how we each looked at each other, then each spat out "9:30?" -- "10:45?" -- "No it can't be 10:45, it must be about 10:20ish!"
"NO!!!!!!!!!!!" the security gaurd flipped. It's "1:15 in the morning! Go on, get out of here! There are people sleeping, and you're playing the piano?"
He didn't find our antics too funny. After a few minutes of talking back, we left before he called the cops. I'm so getting kicked out of this place.
On a brighter note, the rest of the night was much smoother...
