The Golden Punkies: Team ID Awards Gala

Last night was the FIRST Annual Team ID Dinner and Awards Gala.

Team ID always hosts a wicked dinner and party held shortly after Christmas.

For 2006 we had a fantastic dinner (thanks Chin) and great party complete with our secret santa gift exchange (No, I didn't win an UGLY Chinese Fortune Cat again).

Despite all this, there was a twist...

A series of "punkage" awards -- the Golden Punkies -- were set up. Nominees were already established weeks ago on the Team ID Wiki. Attendees to the party were each given a vote.

This year I walked home with these TWO Awards:

Most Annoying Pimper Award
Awarded to the person who keeps trying to push his/her ideas on TeamID, who usually ain't having it. Quotes magazines and articles on the internet to prove point. Rants on others blogs.

I won this mostly due to my pimpage of the following: XM Radio, Windows Vista, Mercedes-Benz, Neat Receipts, IBM ThinkPad, various night clubs, events and more..

The Shamityville Horror
Awarded to the individual that shows the most Shamity. Asks if anyone is eating the last slice of pizza. Asks for permission to use something, like the TV remote. Embarrassed easily in public places.

I personally don't think this is a case of Shamity. It's more like Courtesy. You fuckers need to change the title of this award to "The Courtesy Award" -- because I'm fucking Courteous..

I also walked home with this:

Yup, that's right. A Nintendo DS Lite (thanks to the Entity!). How cool is that? You may have already heard about how addictive these things are, or how they're STILL sold out all over Japan. Here's why:

You better buy Ruby something to make her feel better. Look at her, she's crying!

And you also need a tripod (or a cameraman), taking video and doing shit with one hand looks stupid. Unless you're wacking off. But then again, taking video of that is pretty stupid as well.

As for Ruby -- hmmm.. I'l thinking about it... I don't want her to continue to cry...

And yes, I agree with the Tripop comment. I'm going to buy a mini-one this week -- AND -- a new digital camera :)
